Town Cemetery Board
Friday, December 20, 2011

Town Hall Meeting Room
Present: Chairman Kevin Reich and members Jack Lanzi, Russell Oakes, Sr. and Nikki O’Neill. Also in attendance were Sexton Robert Drewry, Public Works Director Keith Hayden and Recording Secretary Cathy Sirois.
CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Kevin Reich called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES – OCTOBER 15, 2010
A motion was made by Ms. O’Neill, seconded by Mr. Oakes to approve the minutes of the October 15, 2010 meeting. Voted (4-0).
UPDATE ON CEMETERIES
Mr. Drewry reported that there have been four burials in Skinnerville. He noted that 10 to 15 lots remain in Skinnerville.
Mr. Reich thanked Keith Hayden and the Public Works crew for cleaning up the leaves and branches.
FEE UPDATE
There have been no changes in fees. The fee for plots in the town cemeteries is $500. The fee to dig the graves is $600.
2012-2013 BUDGET
The Cemetery Board will request $5,000 in the budget. Mr. Reich will write a letter to the Town Manager and Board of Finance requesting a sinking fund for the 2012-2013 Capital Improvement Plan.
YOUNG STREET CEMETERY
Young Street Cemetery Expansion Proposal
Mr. Drewry reviewed some requirements for the expansion. A proposal from BSC Group was reviewed which outlines the steps that would need to be taken. It was noted that an RFP would need to be sent out before any firm is hired.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Mr. Lanzi, seconded by Mr. Oakes, to adjourn the meeting at 10:30 a.m. Voted (4–0).
